Meet Bob, our Creative Visionary

A few years ago, Bob started his design studio from a deeply personal belief: that a home should not only be beautiful, but should truly make you feel at ease. A place that holds warmth, calm and personality. Today, the studio mainly focuses on turnkey projects, guiding clients through every step of the process — from the first key moment to the final details that make a space feel complete and lived in.

Bob lives in Amsterdam with his partner and Joop, his dog, and he is someone who genuinely loves being at home. Much of his inspiration begins there: in daily rituals, quiet moments, and the way a space can influence how you feel.

Travel has always been a great source of inspiration for Bob. A work trip through India, in particular, left a lasting impression and continues to influence the way he approaches materials, atmosphere and detail in his projects. He also finds endless inspiration in cities that energise him — Mexico City, Milan, Paris and New York all hold a special place in his heart.

One of Bob’s biggest dreams is to one day design a boutique hotel or restaurant: a place with its own identity, story and atmosphere. And while that dream continues to unfold, the studio’s first non-residential project is already becoming reality — an aesthetic boutique clinic in Amsterdam, which feels like an incredibly exciting new chapter.

Meet Gaby, our Head of Studio, Project Manager & Stylist.

Gaby wears many hats. She keeps our projects structured, oversees every timeline, and ensures our design studio runs seamlessly from start to finish.

Her eye for detail is truly remarkable, and she brings that talent into every aspect of our studio both literally and figuratively. She loves wandering through antique markets, sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces that give each project its finishing touch. From beautiful tableware and carefully curated art to selecting the perfect frame for a family’s most treasured photographs, Gaby knows that it’s the smallest details that make a house feel like home.

She is as unique as the treasures she discovers.

Passionate about culture, art, and travel, Gaby regularly immerses herself in new places and traditions. These experiences not only inspire her creatively but also give her a sense of calm and balance, which she brings back into every project.

With Gaby on board, we’re an even stronger team, ensuring every project is completed with thought, character, and meticulous attention to detail.

Joep is an essential part of the Studio Bob van Zonneveld team. With his sharp design intuition, technical expertise, and calm creative energy, he helps transform every concept into a space that is both beautiful and highly functional. He has an exceptional talent for translating ideas into thoughtful, balanced interiors full of character, always ensuring that aesthetics and practicality go hand in hand.

With a keen eye for proportion, a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality, Joep brings precision and care to every project. His passion for art and design history continuously inspires his creative process, allowing him to reinterpret timeless influences into the refined and contemporary signature style of Bob van Zonneveld Interior Design.

Since joining the studio, Joep has become an invaluable part of the team. Together with Bob, he works on a diverse range of residential projects, combining their shared design vision to create homes that feel timeless, personal, and beautifully considered.
