For our City Apartment Oud-West project, we embraced the beauty of these traditional details, carefully incorporating them into a contemporary interior. We believe in the harmony between old and new, where original architectural elements meet modern design, natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship.
Our aim is to create homes that feel both fresh and timeless, with a sense of belonging and character that goes beyond current trends. Even when an interior is completely reimagined, it should feel as though it has always belonged.
Because ultimately, it’s the details that make a house feel like home.
One of the things we love most about renovating older homes is bringing back their original character. Whether we strip an apartment back to its bare bones to improve sustainability, rethink the layout or create an entirely new space, we always look for opportunities to reintroduce the timeless details that give a home its soul.
Think decorative cornices, elegant ceiling roses, refined wall mouldings, beautifully detailed architraves and carefully finished skirting boards. These architectural elements may seem subtle, but they have the power to transform a space, adding depth, elegance and a sense of history.
