Amsterdam Houseboat
During the initial visit to the houseboat, which had its foundation laid in the 1980s, the idea emerged to transform it into a delightful summer residence, establishing a connection with the canal.
Step inside and discover one open space that effortlessly blends multiple desires together. Consisting of a dynamic living and working area, a well-equipped gym with a luxurious bathroom, and a fabulous kitchen primed for preparing refreshing drinks on the boat’s terrace during balmy summer nights.
Through the artful play of various floor materials and different levels, a captivating atmosphere was created. The kitchen is situated in a 1970s-style-inspired lower area, where the cabinets seamlessly merge at a uniform height with the outer floor. In this way, sufficient storage space is provided while still maintaining the overall sense of serenity. By infusing the minimalist foundation with soft curves and natural elements like flowing linen curtains, elegant travertine, and rich walnut accents, a gentle yet contrasting ensemble is created. This exceptional boat offers the perfect balance between functionality and relaxation.
